Terms of Service
Last updated: July 12, 2026
These terms govern your use of fobtap. By creating an account or claiming a fob you agree to them.
The service
fobtap hosts public profile pages reachable by tapping an NFC fob or visiting a profile URL. Organizations can issue branded fobs to their members. We may change or discontinue features; if we ever discontinue the service entirely, we will give reasonable notice so you can export your content.
Your account and content
- You are responsible for what you publish on your profile and must have the rights to it.
- Profile pages are public. Do not publish content that is unlawful, deceptive, infringing, or harassing — we may remove such content or suspend accounts that publish it.
- Handles are first-come, first-served; we may reclaim handles that impersonate others.
Fobs
A fob is a physical pointer to your profile. Claiming a fob binds it to your account. Organization-issued fobs display the organization's branding alongside your profile; the organization controls that branding, and you control your profile content.
Disclaimer and liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced on this page with a new "last updated" date at least 14 days before they take effect.
